Private Table Language Course

Enjoy learning together with a partner or a friend? Do you have a group of like-minded friends or family who fancy learning together? Or are you planning a trip to Spain or South America with friends? Then bring your own party to the table and book a Private Table course (maximum 5 people).

Enjoy spending time together whilst you learn, eat, talk and have fun! You could even practice together in-between lessons!

Courses are not only based on learning conversational Spanish, but also have a big emphasis on learning about the culture too. You can choose from those listed below, or book a Bespoke Course, and select your own cultural topic and language focus, tailored to your own interests and needs by your Talking Tapas teacher Heather.

All courses are run during the day, and must be booked in 6 week blocks. Sessions last an hour and a half, and include coffee on arrival, resources, and a selection of tapas to try. (Please let me know of any allergies or dietary requirements at the time of booking.)

Cost:

2 people: £240 per person per 6 week course.

3 -5 people: £210 per person per 6 week course (£35 per one and a half hour lesson, 3 people minimum required, 5 maximum)

Talking Tapas courses:

Course 1 – Talking Food (6 weeks)

You will be taken on a journey through Spain's vast culinary landscape and learn about the different regions, their specialities and produce, as well as enjoying a taste of their traditional tapas each week. ¡Qué delicioso! Over the 6-week course, you will learn the language needed to be a real foodie in Spain, to give opinions in Spanish and to be able to converse with confidence in restaurants, markets, tapas bars and more. ¡Buen provecho!

Course 2 - Talking Cities (6 weeks)

From Moorish Granada and the Alhambra Palace, to the beautiful world heritage city of Salamanca, not to mention stunning Sevilla with the Alcázar Palace and Plaza de España, Spain's cities are some of the most beautiful in Europe and the world.

This 6-week course will introduce you to these wonderful cities, and the places to visit within them (including top restaurant tips!). You will build on your previous knowledge and learn the language needed to fully enjoy visiting these cities, including directions and travel and transport, of course enjoying delicious tapas as you learn. ¡Disfrútalo! 

Course 3 – Talking Vino (6 weeks)

Enjoy a glass of Rioja or Cava? Want to know all about the origins of Sherry? This course will lead you through the rich and diverse wine, sherry and beer production of Spain, its history, the regions and of course some personal recommendations on which ones to try out at home!

Over the 6-week course We will revisit the previous language learnt, making sure you are confident with your conversation, and also able to give more opinions and information about yourselves. We will also introduce new language on hotels, accommodation in general and locations, all of which will enable you to get the most out of holidays, wine tours and road trips to these regions. Of course you will also enjoy tapas as you learn, have some new recipes to take away and try out yourselves. ¡Salud!

Bespoke Course 

Select your own cultural topic and language focus, in conjunction with your Talking Tapas teacher Heather, who will then tailor this to your interests and needs. You could be interested in Spanish Art, Film or Festivals, or perhaps want a course to fit with your specific holiday plans.
